Image of Extreme Caution
Maeve, the shy, misunderstood matriarch of the Branch clan, retreated from society following the scandal and dire financial straits created by her philandering, soon-to-be-ex-husband. But she catches the eye of widowed venture capitalist Chuck Lawrence and he patiently chips away at her protective shield. Maeve vows not to give up her independence to another man, but will she trust Chuck with her heart? Although Jean Brashear's Extreme Caution (4) starts slowly, it steadily builds to a satisfying end, thanks in part to appealing characters. Those who follow the NASCAR series should also appreciate the updates on the Branch children.
