It's hard to suspend disbelief and go along with some of the improbable aspects of this story. But if you can get past that, the adventure keeps you turning the pages, while the sex is hot and caring. Although the hero comes across as a nice guy, it would have helped to have had more explanation concerning his criminal conviction and the events surrounding it.

For eight years, Cady has been on the run. Her brother's murderer is pulling strings from prison and making Cady's life miserable. Things ratchet up to physical danger about the same time that Cady meets Kingdom Trahanm, who's anxious to leave New York for his Louisiana home. Since Cady needs to escape, they are soon on the run together -- dodging explosions and car accidents, and hiding out while getting support from a government agent with suspicious credentials who wants to use Cady as bait to ensnare the bad guys.
