Book Review

FACE OF BETRAYAL
by April Henry, Lis Wiehl

Genre: Inspirational, Mystery/Thriller/Suspense

RT Rating

Wiehl and Henry have penned a winner that seems to come straight from the headlines. Captivating suspense, coupled with tightly written prose, will entertain and intrigue. The premise of women from different branches of law enforcement gathering to solve crimes may seem familiar to fans of James Patterson's Women's Murder Club series, but overall this is an exciting book.

Senate page Katie Converse is home for vacation when she disappears while walking her dog. A group of friends that includes reporter Cassidy Shaw, FBI agent Nicole Hedge and federal prosecutor Allison Pierce team up to discover what happened to Katie. When they learn she had a secret life, things begin to point to a sinister outcome. (THOMAS NELSON, Apr., 320 pp., $24.99)
