Book Review

by Nina Kiriki Hoffman

Genre: Paranormal/Urban Fantasy

RT Rating

This sequel to A Fistful of Sky begins with great promise but fails to deliver. The heroine is interesting, but the other characters are flat. Hoffman writes convincingly of what happens on a movie set, but repetition slows the pace. Unfinished plotlines and unanswered questions will leave readers unsatisfied.

Special effects make-up artist Opal LaZelle is assigned to a movie
set in Oregon to transform actor Corvus Weather into a dark god for a horror film. But Corvus is possessed by a sinister being called Phrixos. His motives aren't clear, and Opal seems helpless against him. She's in love with Corvus, but can she protect him? (ACE, May, 320
