Isabel Wright works as a dream analyst at the Belvedere Center for Sleep Research. Her specialty is interpreting the rare dream state known as Level Five lucid dreaming. But when her boss, Dr. Martin Belvedere, suddenly dies, her work comes to a halt.

Belvedere's son fires Isabel and
closes down her area, not realizing
that her anonymous clients are part
of a secret government agency and
are the big moneymakers.

Ellis Cutler, aka Client Number Two, has been a part of Jack Lawson's secret government lucid dreaming project for years. When Jack and Ellis learn of Isabel's firing, Ellis is dispatched to California to track her down.

But things don't go according to plan, and Ellis suspects that a dangerous killer he once thought dead is anything but. Isabel and Ellis must work their way through this dangerous web of deceit and treachery.

This is more outstanding romantic suspense from a true master. Adding
the paranormal element to an already intriguing story makes this a real roller-coaster ride. No one does it better
than Jayne Ann Krentz! (Nov., 432
