A FAMILY TO BELONG TO

Author(s):
Going home for her foster mother's funeral is even more difficult than TV journalist Kate Simmonds expects. En route, she encounters the one man she'd hoped to avoid, chef Gideon Manser, the man she loved as a young girl. Now a widower with two daughters, Gideon's busy and in need of child care -- and suddenly Kate's in mock-mommy mode. Unable to have children, Kate longs for A Family to Belong To (4.5) but is convinced she can never measure up to Gideon's late wife. Natasha Oakley's latest is a deeply emotional, beautifully told story with a sigh-inducing yet still realistic ending.
