FAMILY BONDS
by Candice Poarch

Genre: Contemporary Romance, Multicultural

RT Rating

Investigator Taylor Harrison is sure that there's a link between an attack on his grandfather and the beautiful Melia Lucas, or at least the valuable real estate she inherited. He believes that Melia's relationship with the man who took over his grandfather's law practice left her rich and the man dead. So Taylor moves into Melia's building to get close to her and find out what really happened.

Melia, who has a cooking show and teaches, is feeling pressure from the people who are like family to her to sell them her land. Together Melia and Taylor have to find a murderer as they work out their relationship with each other.

Poarch has crafted an enjoyable read filled with warm family complications and a hot mystery. A trail of murders leads to an exciting and surprising conclusion. (Oct., 320 pp., $6.99)
