When Dr. Chris McRay returns to Downhome, Tenn., he doesn't expect a warm welcome from Karen Lowell, the prom date he's never forgotten. Karen cherishes the memory of that evening, but remains mystified by Chris' abrupt withdrawal. Also, Karen's brother believes Chris framed him for murder. Though he's eager to make peace, Chris hardly dares to dream that he might win Karen's heart. Jacqueline Diamond's character-driven novels are always a pleasure to read. The author brings her skillfully
executed mystery subplot to a satisfying conclusion in A Family at Last (4).
