For five years, FBI agent Ian Chandler has controlled all aspects of Sage Matthews' life. Sage was convicted of committing computer crimes when a boyfriend duped her into releasing a virus on the Net. Ian was assigned to monitor her, and she's had nothing to do with computers or the people who use them since. In five more days, Sage will be rid of him for good. Then her old boyfriend shows up, wanting her help, and Ian wonders if he can trust her. Fascination (2) by Samantha Hunter is well written and has some sympathetic secondary characters. But Ian is a thoroughly unpleasant hero who acts unprofessionally and cruel. It's hard to understand why Sage is attracted to him, unless he's just another bad choice.
