Book Review

FASHION FAUX PAW
by Judi McCoy

Genre: Mystery/Suspense/Thriller, Mystery, Amateur Sleuth

RT Rating

McCoy’s delightful cozy is a slam-dunk of a mystery, with fast-paced dialogue, an imaginative storyline and a creative whodunit. While part of a series, it reads well as a stand-alone.

Dog walker Ellie Engleman has agreed to help out at a ritzy fashion design contest and lands herself in the middle of a murder investigation. The victim was a designer with more enemies than fleas on a dog. Ellie takes on the case with the help of her trusty pooch Rudy, the other dogs in her care and certain humans too, but against the wishes of the lead investigator, her cop boyfriend Sam. The deeper she digs, the bigger the pooper-scooper she will need to get answers. (OBSIDIAN, Mar., 336 pp., $7.99)
