Georgette Delacroix, an ambitious junior prosecutor for the New Orleans DA's office, is cursed with the gift of second sight and believes that it may hinder her career if anyone finds out. When she envisions a missing girl in association with Tanner Harrison, the man who coincidentally found a murdered prostitute, she's uncertain how to suss him out without giving herself away. As a New Orleans Confidential agent, Tanner has his own secrets, but his agenda is simply to find his missing daughter, so he and Georgette join forces to stop the killings. A Father's Duty (3) continues the Confidential series. The premise is solid and the characters fully fleshed out, though Joanna Wayne is prone to conveying redundant information, which hampers the story.
