Book Review

FEARLESS FOURTEEN
by Janet Evanovich

Genre: Mystery/Suspense/Thriller, Mystery, Humorous

RT Rating

The ability to make someone laugh out loud is an amazing talent, and the fact that the awesome Evanovich continues to induce belly laughs with each new book, a gift. This 14th chapter is very much a Stephanie/Morelli show with the usual suspects all adding to the abundant nuttiness. Need a mood lifter? Crack open this book ... results guaranteed!

Stephanie's already wacky
life takes another bizarre turn when she reluctantly agrees to pick up the teenage son of one of her bail assignments, Loretta Rizzi. Since Loretta is a distant cousin of Stephanie's main squeeze Joe Morelli, she plans to dump Mario, aka Zook, on him. Then Ranger requests Stephanie's help on a job ... riding herd on and protecting world-famous singer and aging sex bomb "Brenda."
Events take a nasty turn when Loretta is kidnapped and held hostage for a long-ago stolen $9 million -- which may or may not be buried in Morelli's basement. With murder, mayhem, potato rocket launchers and friendly stalkers, Stephanie really has her hands full! (ST. MARTIN'S, Jun., 320 pp., $27.95)
