Benjamin’s story of love and rebuilding one’s life is charming — full of the heart and determination readers have come to expect from her. Plus, she pairs her strong characters with enough heat to fry the pages.

MG Carmody is not looking for love. She is not even looking for a return to the music career that once meant so much to her. All she wants is piece and quiet and enough money to hold onto her family’s farm. She does not count on chef Joe LeBlanc invading her peace or her sudden and intense attraction to him. Joe has his own problems — a kitchen full of temperamental cooks and a cooking competition to win — so he is not interested in his attraction to MG. But it can’t be ignored, and when these two finally find their way to each other, sparks fly. MG and Joe will have to learn to trust each other in order to keep their flames burning for their own happy ever after. (SAMHAINPUBLISHING.COM, dl $5.50)
