THE FIANCEE CHARADE

Author(s):
Keeping her tiny advertising agency afloat is important to Jess Thompson—and getting in a few cheap shots at big advertising shark Alex Calahan is attractive too. So when he offers her the chance to do both by teaching him the error of his romantic ways, how can Jess say no? It's supposed to be temporary—but Alex has other ideas, including using Jess to help him catch the woman he really wants. Or does he? Darcy Maguire's The Fiancée Charade (3) is clever to a point, but neither Alex nor Jess is especially sympathetic, and when they embark on a fake engagement, it seems like an afterthought.
