Book Review

by Phoebe Conn

Genre: Contemporary Romance, General Contemporary Romance
Sensuality: HOT

RT Rating

Rather than giving passion, sex and heat in this novel, more emphasis is placed on the external storyline as opposed to the internal attraction between the two main characters. As a result, the love scenes read as a technical manual with too much dialogue and not enough sparks.

Libby Gunderson travels to Spain to stop her sister Maggie’s rushed marriage to a gypsy matador. She finds an ally in Spanish bullfighter Santos Aragon, but they soon abandon their quest of stopping the wedding to focus instead on yielding to their own mutual attraction. The relationship is tested time and again when several attempts are made on Santos’ life. (SAMHAIN, Feb., 304 pp., $16.00)
