FIFTH GRAVE PAST THE LIGHT
by Darynda Jones

Genre: Paranormal/Urban Fantasy, Urban Fantasy

RT Rating

Jones turns up the heat on her goodhearted and somewhat klutzy heroine, Charley Davidson, by placing the son of Satan, Reyes Farrow, in the apartment next door. These two have an extraordinary relationship that keeps them both off-balance and their sexual tension smoldering. Jones has hit on the perfect recipe for a wisecracking, wickedly funny romp that is edged with truly chilling danger.

With the sexy and mysterious Reyes now living next door, posing a constant temptation, Grim Reaper and private investigator Charley is determined to focus on work. That turns out to be not too difficult as her apartment is suddenly filled with the spirits of a whole lot of dead women. Somewhere out there is a serial killer and Charley needs to find him — quick. There is also an arsonist on the loose, and Charley fears that Reyes might somehow be involved. (ST. MARTIN’S, Jul., 352 pp., $24.99)
