In the latest title in her Dragon One series, Fetzer takes on the contemporary themes of terrorism and global warfare. In doing so, she introduces a heroine who's more likely to rescue the hero than need rescuing herself. While the frequent shifts in setting can be disruptive, it aids in building the tension and a sense of urgency in the story. The suspense and intrigue are definitely at the forefront in this novel, which can be read as a stand-alone title.

Safia Troy is a highly skilled and well-trained CIA undercover agent who could give Jack Bauer a run for his money. Her latest mission puts her in the path of Riley Donovan, a Dragon One operative she rescued years ago. They discover that the arms dealer Safia is after has taken the man that Riley is seeking and join forces, embarking on a manhunt that takes them across the globe and uncovers secrets about Safia's past that may be affecting her present.
