FINAL EXAM
by Maggie Barbieri

Genre: Mystery/Suspense/Thriller, Mystery, Amateur Sleuth

RT Rating

Barbieri's latest Murder 101 mystery doesn't actually include a murder, but the mystery is nonetheless entertaining as college professor Alison Bergeron stumbles her way through the complicated disappearance of a young resident adviser. Divorced and middle-aged, Alison is engaging as a levelheaded sleuth trying to solve a mystery while keeping her love life in check, solving her best friend's problems and making it to class on time -- and alive.

Alison is caught in a no-win situation when a resident hall adviser from St. Thomas College goes missing and she has to move into the dorm and take his place. Her new living situation is making serious waves in her love life, but the only way she can move back home is to locate the missing R.A. When she finds drugs stashed in her toilet and notifies her New York police detective boyfriend to investigate, Alison realizes the R.A. may be in far more trouble than anyone realized.
