Roy Amory and his partners killed two furniture delivery men and took their place, making a delivery to the estate of Paul Lattimore. Charlie, who is 10, didnt suspect that something was wrong until the last minute, and by then it was too late. Drugged by kidnappers, Charlie is taken from his fathers estate.

FBI agent Jennifer Bennett is assigned to this high-profile case for several reasons, one being that her boss is none too sure that the agent in charge of this case is at full strength. Sean Alexander has been on voluntary leave for several months following the tragic end of a California case.

The ransom clock is ticking, as Jennifer and Sean quickly and methodically follow every lead. And despite their initial coolness, Jennifer and Sean are proving to be a cohesive teamand they had better be, for Roy Amorys grip on sanity is a tenuous one.

Readers will be hooked from the first page, as FINAL HOUR delivers an intense, gripping and fast-paced read. Tracey Tillis is on a roll with her best book to date. The characters are so compelling, I would enjoy following them in further cases and adventures. (Apr., 295 pp, $6.99)
