The third Texas Boardinghouse Brides book picks up where the last book left off. It is filled with strong and appealing characters. Although predictable, the romance between Jacqueline and Noah is a sweet story that brings the series full circle. The author teaches us about redemption and shows God’s plan for each one of us. With enough summary of the other two books included in this story, this can be read as a stand-alone.

When Noah Jeffers is called to Lookout, Texas, to fill in as the town’s pastor, he is determined to keep his childhood secrets. Jacqueline Davis is an ambitious reporter for the town paper. She is determined to uncover Noah’s secrets and get her big story. Will the feelings she is starting to feel for him surpass her enthusiasm for her work? (BARBOUR, Apr., 320 pp., $12.99)
