Johnson’s newest offering is an anthology of interconnected novellas all set in the Sons of Destiny world now emerging from the Convocation of the Gods. The stories flow from one to the other as various secondary characters become the main protagonists in the next tale. Love, honor, duty and passion play pivotal roles in this exciting quartet of stories!

In “Sundara,” an abused Mandarite slave is given a chance for a new life when his owner dies. After many of the men go off to war, dyara Chanson decides to take a chance by allowing former slave Eduor prove his worth to their community. “Guildara” is the tale of Arbran Knight and diplomat Sir Zeilas as he encounters former foes, the Guildarans, now led by the intriguing Marta Grenspun. In “Aurul,” divine prophecy takes Guildaran Gabria Springreaver from home as she is the new envoy to Aurul and the subject of an unusual prophecy. “Jenodan Isles” follows the adventure of Aurulean Captain Ellet’s royal mission, and his meeting with the enchanting pirate Mita.
