Book Review

FIRE WITH FIRE
by Siobhan Vivian, Jenny Han

Genre: Young Adult, Contemporary Young Adult

RT Rating

The duo behind Burn for Burn reunites for a sequel every bit as compelling. Han and Vivian’s greatest strength is their rotating narration. The perspectives never meld into a single mean-girl shriek; each girl’s distinct personality and story is well-represented and highly interesting. This is meatier than Gossip Girl, but fans of that series will still be pleased.

Kat, Mary and Lillia exacted a revenge plan they thought would right the wrongs of their nasty classmates. But things went a little too far, and now they’re coping with the fallout — and keeping secrets. They’re all struggling, but Mary has the most to hide.
