At 21, Kassandra (Kitt) Wentworth still manages to shock the ton. She's no
wilting flower, but a passionate woman whose exploits intrigue Clayton Harcourt,
the future Duke of Rathmore. He decides he'll wed her, but first he has to catch
her-and even the promise of a fortune cannot change the fact that Kitt has no
desire to wed.
Kitt has her own reasons for not trusting men and avoiding marriage. Though he
knows nothing of her past, Clayton senses her fear and sees her vulnerability.
Falling in love is easy for them both, but making their newfound passion into a
lasting marriage is another matter. Though Kitt learns to trust Clay with her
body, she wonders if she can trust him with her secrets.
Kat Martin has found a marvelous niche for her talents within the constraints of
the Regency Historical romance genre. She fully uses the nuances of society's
rules to her advantage while directing a fine cast of characters. Though this
reader would have preferred a stronger conflict, those who savor pure
relationship books will cherish Ms. Martin's latest. SENSUAL (Feb., 320 pp.,
