FIREWALKER
by Allyson James

Genre: Paranormal/Urban Fantasy, Urban Fantasy

RT Rating

The second installment of James’ electrifying series returns to the Crossroads Hotel and the complicated life of Stormwalker Janet Begay. James’ world is dangerous and exotic and filled with intriguing characters, all of which showcases her exceptional talent. This series just may become a real barn burner!

Having prevented her hell goddess mother from gaining control, Janet is back to running her hotel and working on her relationship with her dragon-shifter boyfriend Mick. When Mick sends a strange SOS, Janet knows she needs help in trying to find and rescue him. Janet convinces antagonistic sheriff and magical null Nash Jones to come along as back up. Freeing Mick, they learn that because Mick refused to kill Janet, he must face trial by the Dragon Council. If that weren’t enough, Janet becomes a murder suspect. Dark forces are gathering and Janet is trapped in the middle. (BERKLEY SENSATION, Nov., 352 pp., $7.99)
