FIRST COMES LOVE
by Whitney Lyles

Genre: Mainstream, General Mainstream Fiction

RT Rating

Lyles focuses on the humorous, poignant chronicles of a couple on the brink of parenthood in this sequel to Here Comes the Bride. The writing is strong, and the characters' emotions and experiences ring true.

Newlyweds Cate and Ethan Blakely have survived five months of marriage, but will they live through the expected "and then comes the baby in the baby carriage" stage? They have no idea, but they sure have a lot of questions. Can they even get pregnant? Do they really want to? When will they feel ready? Their friends are facing similar dilemmas, but Cate and Ethan know they need to choose for themselves.

Amid the client chaos of Ethan's new catering business, the upcoming nuptials of one of his relatives and the general craziness caused by family and friends dealing with their own issues, Cate and Ethan explore the wonderful and wacky world of conception. (BERKLEY, Jul., 320 pp., $14.00)
