Julie Spinelli fell in love with Roman Sonntag at first sight. Her determination to accompany him on a business trip to France as his wife, means her wedding is now only five days away--a wedding that she vows will be the fairy-tale one she's always dreamed of.

But things are not going too well. She's fired her wedding planner for not following her directions, her florist has gone out of business and the boutique that was to provide her gown has gone bankrupt. To top things off, Julie's beloved but obnoxious father arrives in town early, determined to stop the nuptials.

This conclusion to the Bridesmaid Chronicles is an entertaining look at what goes on after the marriage pro-posal is accepted. Julie's problems are humorous yet generate sympathy. Her interaction with her parents is the highlight of the story. (Sep., 304 pp., $6.99)
