FIRST TIME FOR EVERYTHING (3) by Aimee Carson: Attorney Blake Bennington insists music therapist Jax Lee act as a live- in caretaker for his injured sister in exchange for his legal expertise. Jax is hardly the rule-abiding, rational woman he needs, but he can’t help but lust after her. Blake left the rebellious days of his youth behind for a reason, and though he envies how Jax overcame childhood heartache, her nonconformist behavior weighs on him. Can they find common ground? The hero’s family, though integral characters, are slow to come to life, and the storyline is sometimes predictable, but the witty dialogue keeps the reader engaged.
