FLASH AND BONES
by Kathy Reichs

Genre: Mystery/Suspense/Thriller, Suspense

RT Rating

In the latest installment of Reich’s long-running series that is the inspiration for the TV show Bones, murder both old and new will challenge and threaten Dr. Temperance Brennan. Like the great storyteller she is, Reichs makes sure her readers receive an eerie tale full of disappearances, hatred and murder.

When Tempe is called out to investigate a body in a barrel found in the landfill next to the motor speedway, she is approached by a NASCAR crew member who wonders if the body might belong to his missing sister, Cyndi. Although she quickly determines the body is male, she is angry when the FBI steps in and removes all the evidence, but not before they realize the man was poisoned. (SCRIBNER, Aug., 320 pp., $26.99)
