And it's told in the first and third person. What more could you ask for?
Flashback (4.5), by Jill Shalvis, returns to Santa Rey and the arson investigation that in an earlier book ended with firefighter Blake Stafford, accused of arson and murder, dying in a fire. His colleagues are still reeling from the revelations when an explosion and fire on the docks bring them out. Aidan Donnelly rescues Blake's actress sister, Kenzie, from a burning boat. Kenzie is sure that her brother was not guilty and is determined to prove it.
Aidan and Kenzie had an affair that broke her heart when Aidan left her, but he's changed, and he wants her back. Together they look into the mystery of the continued fires and a further death. This story weaves together excitement, sex and broken hearts as well as one of the spunkiest heroines around.
