Sent to London to examine a 10-carat diamond after a jeweler is shot during a robbery attempt, gemologist Becca Whitmore finds herself working with MI6 agent Aston Dane to find out why the diamond and two others just like it are so valuable, other than the fact that they're all Flawless (4). Their journey takes them from London to Paris and then on to New York. Michele Hauf's tale is an exciting read from start to finish. The inclusion of some modern science makes the plot more interesting, while the characters' personalities and the skillfully crafted dialogue make it flow smoothly.
