Book Review

FLESH AND BLOOD
by Kristen Painter

Genre: Paranormal/Urban Fantasy, Urban Fantasy

RT Rating

As the second in the series, this starts out quickly and the pace keeps up. While Mal and Chrysabelle might be strengthening their relationship, the addition of Creek makes things more difficult. It’s always interesting to keep reading!

Chrysabelle believes she can save Malkolm from his curse, but when she learns what he must endure to be free, she realizes it’s not true freedom at all. Instead, the two must band together again to keep Tatiana from the ring of sorrows. Their latest addition is Creek, an enhanced human who is seeking the ring for his own reasons. Add in witches, Doc’s attempts to save Fi from a continual loop of death and Chrysabelle learning she has a brother somewhere out there. (ORBIT, Nov., 432 pp., $7.99)
