FLIGHT FROM HELL
by Yasmine Galenorn

Genre: Paranormal/Urban Fantasy, Urban Fantasy, E-book, Novella

RT Rating

Urban fantasy star Galenorn employs the D’Artigo sisters from her Otherworld series to introduce readers to new characters who will star in their own offshoot series: Fly by Night. This new set of tales will revolve around the Fly by Night Magical Investigations Agency and the four characters associated with it, set after the events of Crimson Veil. The girls are still picking up the pieces and don’t need a new problem handed to them. This novella does a good job introducing the new magical crew and foreshadowing the problems they will face. Fly by Night is off to a entertaining start!

Vampire Menolly is asked by half-demon Carter to check on his ex-girlfriend Shimmer, the blue dragon, because he is worried. Menolly initially thinks it is a fool’s errand, but then she learns that Shimmer has been acting oddly: She tried to stake her vampire boss Alex Radcliffe at the Fly By Night Magical Investigations Agency. Alex suspects that Shimmer has been spellcast, and this is a lot more serious than they thought — there’s a vampire and a sorcerer with a long-standing grudge against Alex!
