RT Rating

Delightfully witty, marvelously sophisticated, highly romantic and definitely daring, this spin-off from Duchess in Love showcases Eloisa James' talent for storytelling. Not only does she craft fascinating characters, she also delves deep to produce a story that has powerful emotion and depth.

Lady Henrietta Maclellan fears her slight limp and "deformed hip" will prevent her from having the family she craves. Then she meets sensual, handsome rogue Simon Darby and his two wards.

Henrietta falls in love with the girls at first sight and hides her passion for Simon. Compeled instead to release her emotions on paper, she secretly writes a highly sensual letter that becomes public.

Since the gossips believe Simon sent the missive to Henrietta, the two must marry or face scandal. The beauty, sensuality and sensitivity of the love that grows turns what could be an ordinary romance into one of true magic.

With characters from her previous novel complementing Henrietta and Simon's romance, readers will not want to miss this fabulous sequel. It's sure to find a place on your "keeper" shelf. SENSUAL (Aug., 384 pp., $6.99)
