Considering the amount of paranormal romance novels based on fallen angels that are out there, Forbidden doesn’t particularly stand out. Although the writing itself merits an “A,” the characters and plot failed to excite this reviewer. While this isn’t a terrible read, nothing about it really differentiates the novel from what’s already been done.
Claire’s mother is always on the move, picking up and leaving towns at the drop of a hat. She’s currently attending a prestigious academy on scholarship, and hopes to maintain a stable life there with her friends. Alec pursues a high school career in order to escape his rigorous angelic duties. After they meet, their attraction for each other quickly blossoms.
