This light, quick, sexy, fun read delights readers looking for a story to pass the time. Cornick has written everything from dark and deep to short and sweet; Forbidden falls somewhere in the middle. Fans seeking in-depth characters, or a less predictable plot, will still be charmed by this appealing and pleasant next installment in Cornick’s Scandalous Women of the Ton series.

Margery Mallon is a ladies’ maid whose only dream is to open a confectioner’s shop. She has no desire to have her life complicated by a gentleman until she encounters Henry Ward in a brothel.
