RT Rating

This novel continues with Carlos Rivera's fate unknown and Damali Richards, aka the millennium Neteru, suffering a tragic loss.

While Damali is filled with rage and heartbreak, Carlos takes some time to regain his bearings. Although they are now on a transatlantic flight with their team, they become separated. At this point, the story is told from several points of view as Damali and Carlos-- as well as the team--work feverishly toward the same goal.

Part of Banks' thrilling and successful Vampire Huntress series, each book in this nine-part series gets harder and harder to put down. This fifth entry features amazing imagination and a story that is touching and packed with drama from beginning to end. (Sep., 480 pp., $14.95)
