Texas ranger Elijah Coltrane lost his true love to evil cult leader Amos Buford, and when Buford kidnaps a senator's daughter, Caroline Whitten, Eli rescues her. As she recovers from the trauma, Caroline is drawn to the ranger. Eli knows he shouldn't get involved with a witness, but his attraction to Caroline proves too strong to resist. With a clichéd cult, a hero who'd rather talk about his unhappy childhood than make love and his equally sensitive half-brothers, Linda Warren's Forgotten Son (2) is hard to swallow.
