Book Review

RT Rating

Fans of Frank’s Nightwalker series and the offshoot series called the World of Nightwalkers will love this installment. Third in the series, Forsaken’s central story contains healing, pain and the spontaneous attraction between a Night Angel and a human who has just learned the world is not what it appears. There’s sizzle, steam and enough action to satisfy even the most ravenous appetite. Though fans of the Nightwalkers may slightly prefer that series, hero Leo makes this book worth reading: He’s dark, slightly tormented and 100% hot.

Leo Alvarez is a mercenary whose entire world is rocked when his best friend becomes a host body for an ancient Egyptian pharaoh. Determined to help his friend rid himself of this Bodywalker, Leo must plunge into the supernatural realm headfirst. But when an attack proves too much Leo must team up with a Night Angel, whose body and personality rub Leo in all the right ways. (BALLANTINE, Jan., 368 pp., $7.99)
