Abandoned by her husband for his pregnant mistress, Diana Reeves heads to Provence to seek out her birth mother, determined to turn things around. There she meets Anton, who is generally suspicious of strangers, but he's drawn to the beautiful American who's full of questions about everyone in town. When he hires Diana as a tour guide, it's ostensibly to keep an eye on her, but passion ignites and a baby results. As Anton and Diana get closer to happiness than they've been in years, they must trust their hearts enough to share the secrets that can threaten their future. The French Count's Pregnant Bride (4) by Catherine Spencer is a beautifully written love story between two people who had given up on love. Spencer does an excellent job intertwining the glamorous setting with the less-than-glamorous problems that Anton and Diana face.
