FRONTIER FATHER (4) by Dorothy Clark: Oregon Territory, 1841: Anne Simms has lost her husband and child and cannot stop grieving their loss. She comes to Banning Mission to try to move on, but Mitchel Banning isn’t sure Anne is up to teaching the local Indians, who are very mistrustful of the people at the mission. Will Anne and Mitchel be able to convince the local tribe they only want to help them, or will they have to flee for their lives? Can Anne come to accept Mitchel and his young daughter as a part of her life or will her grieving consume her?
