Mehl has outdone herself with this first installment in the Finding Sanctuary series. The storyline runs smoothly and readers will not be able to put the book down until they uncover the surprises Mehl has written into the story. The kind characters only want to find out the truth, regardless of the brick walls in their way.

Wynter Evans is looking for one big story to appease her boss and keep her job as a TV reporter. A picture of a boy who looks like her brother, who disappeared nine years ago, falls into her hands. Wynter ends up in the town of Sanctuary where she discovers that the young, good-looking mayor, Rueben King, is the one person she can trust. He encourages her to tread lightly among the private people of Sanctuary. When it seems like someone is hiding the truth, Wynter becomes even more determined to find her brother.
