Book Review

THE GENTLEMAN'S QUEST
by Deborah Simmons

Genre: Historical Romance, England
Sensuality: HOT
Setting: 1800s England

RT Rating

Fast-paced action, dark secrets and an interesting couple make this a quick, light, roller coaster ride of a read. Simmons keeps your attention from the beginning, and though she lets the adventure override the characters and romance, the story still holds interest.

Following several disasters, Kit Marchant hides away in his ancient castle and manages quite well, until Hero arrives hunting for an arcane text. Sent by her uncle to obtain the book at any cost, Hero cannot return to London without it. Neither she nor Kit realizes that others are searching for the volume and will do anything to get their hands on it. When they cannot locate the book at Kit's castle they begin a quest that takes them throughout the countryside and into danger. Falling in love may empower them to evade their enemies and triumph.
