Macy Moore believes her life is flowing along beautifully. She has a fabulous job, a wonderful boyfriend and a designer wardrobe. Then that all changes. She's ousted from her managerial position, discovers her boyfriend is two-timing her ... and just how is she going to pay her credit card bills?

The next few months bring more changes and decisions. With God's help -- and a little direction from her parents in Georgia -- Macy discovers that relying on God is much simpler than relying on herself.

Hauck's first chick lit is splendid! Macy's voice is endearing and draws readers in so that they empathize with her plight. Trusting in God is an issue every Christian needs to explore, and it's dealt with in a lighthearted yet thought- provoking way. The conclusion ties up loose ends and offers a delightful sigh of pleasure. (Aug., 320 pp., $13.95)
