CEO Nate McNulty is put in charge of producing a big Philadelphia dog show, and he has to hire an events coordinator—fast. The only applicant for the job is the stunningly beautiful Beatrice "Bunny" Love. There's just one problem: She has no idea what she's doing.

Can a business-minded, control-freak hero find everlasting love with his opposite, a free-spirited, feng-shui-loving heroine?

With Nate's desire to save his company from his feisty aunt and Bunny's need to gain financing in order to keep her apartment, the motivations of the main characters feel somewhat clichéd.

There are a multitude of comical slapstick situations that create a flurry of action, but the time between meaningful events is paced a bit slow. However, this novel is written with humor, the dialogue is very smooth and Long's storytelling style is enjoyable, more than making up for these lesser flaws. (Mar., 304 pp., $3.99)
