When Eliza Shaw returns home to Mississippi to care for her foster mother, one of the first people she runs into is
her ex-boyfriend from high school, Cade Bennett. Cade hates her and mistakenly blames her for his sister's death. While Eliza manages to help her foster mother, she also wrangles a second chance with Cade. The Girl Who Came Back (3) by Barbara McMahon is an enjoyable read with a nicely worked plot. McMahon's characters are well-written and believable.
