When Rory Egglehoff's high-school crush, Hunter Chase, begins working in the office next door, Rory and her friend Allison devise a plan to get Hunter to take Rory to their high-school reunion.

Rory is an accountant and Star Wars junkie who's been dating nerds for too long. Hunter is Rory's idea of a real Han Solo. But when the plan to land Hunter actually works, Rory can't believe that his interest in her is genuine.

To make herself more desirable to Hunter, she lies and turns her back on her friends and family. Since she doesn't think her relationship with Hunter will last, she doesn't bother to break up with her current boyfriend. To Rory's horror, Hunter learns all her secrets just before the class reunion.

You don't have to be a Stars Wars aficionado to enjoy this humorous tale about a quest for true love. Bolks' characters are unique and memorable. (May, 320 pp., $12.95)
