When Evie, the mother of two little girls, decides to join her parents in Bishops Gate, Fla., for a month-long
vacation, she begins to question her sanity. But she's anxious for a break at the beach house she used to visit as a girl. Then she encounters someone from her past, handsome August Meyer. Old feelings come crashing back, and Evie wonders if this is her second chance at love. The Good Mother (3), by Shelley Galloway, is a charming romance with two engaging protagonists. Plenty of
secondary characters pepper this story, adding just enough spice. This is a pleasant way to spend a fall day.
