Book Review

GOODNESS AND MERCY
by Vanessa Davis Griggs

Genre: Inspirational, Multicultural

RT Rating

Kudos to Griggs for seamlessly weaving the faith element into her story. But although her characters face real faith challenges, the story is predictable. She should have started the romance earlier. Instead, Griggs rushes the ending by trying to wrap things up too neatly. Still, the surprise at the end is worth sticking around for.

Ex-dancer Gabrielle Mercedes leaves her old life to pursue a life for Christ. On her journey she gains new friends, a new career and a relationship with a good man, Dr. Zachary Morgan. She even gets involved with the dance ministry at her new church. But when a past secret catches up to her, will she lose all that she's gained? Or will her faith see her through?
