GOODNIGHT, SWEETHEART
by Suzanne Simmons

Genre: Contemporary Romance, General Contemporary Romance

RT Rating

After Eric Law and Sydney St. John left their hometown of Sweetheart, Indiana, they quickly made their mark on the world. Like his brother Sam, Eric became a successful lawyer, but his private life suffered. Sydney entered the financial world, but staying true to her ethics has just cost her a job.

Eric has returned to Sweetheart for Sam's wedding and to watch over the legal practice while Sam is on his honeymoon. Sydney has returned to get a little perspective and visit her beloved Aunt Minerva. Cupid throws Eric and Sydney together immediately, and the gossip mill in Sweetheart soon gets rolling.

Warmth and caring are major characteristics of both the town of Sweetheart and most of its residents. This slice-of-life tale is an affectionate and charming romance and a pleasure to read. Simmons knows how to touch the heart. (Apr., 294 pp., $6.99)
