THE GREEK'S PREGNANT LOVER
THE GREEK'S PREGNANT LOVER (2) by Lucy Monroe: Abandoned by his mother as a child, Zephyr Nikos has sworn he will never love and only marry for business reasons. His friend/lover Piper Madison knows this, but is in love with him anyway. When Piper becomes pregnant, wedding plans ensue. If only she could be sure that Zephyr is marrying her for the right reason — love. This has the potential to be a great read, but too much telling mars a strong premise. One critical scene, when Zephyr confronts the mother who abandoned him, is summed up after the fact in less than a page — a major disappointment. Also, there’s not enough conflict or spark between Zephyr and Piper.
